Is it okie to dye your hair while pregnant?

I dyed mine throughout all three of my pregnancies. My kids are all healthy. I of course had it done professionally though since I have premature grey, and I have had to do it every month, at least a touch up. You just have to try it to see if it comes out okay, it's like perming your hair while you are pregnant. Sometimes with pregnancy textures and such change, so it depends on the person.

Is it okie to dye your hair while pregnant?

NO IT IS NOT OKAY TO DYE YOUR HAIR WHILE PREGNANT! Even in a well ventilated area, it is not ok, because the dye seeps into your body, and it will affect the baby !

Is it okie to dye your hair while pregnant?

NO IT WILL TURN ORANGE IF YOU DO EVERYTIME

Is it okie to dye your hair while pregnant?

No its fine...I homeworked it a lot while I was pregnant. They said it was only a problem if you were going to do it every day...Go for streaks...then it doesn't have to be done so often

Is it okie to dye your hair while pregnant?

Yeah, its okay. Nothin' will happen.

Is it okie to dye your hair while pregnant?

it is just do it in a ventilated area and be prepared it may not be red or if it is it may not take ... hormones are just chemicals .. they make thing react different than they use to..

PS baby phat doesn't know science very well... your baby will be fine

Is it okie to dye your hair while pregnant?

most docs suggest you dont as they are uncertain of effect on fetal growth

Is it okie to dye your hair while pregnant?

it can have bad results because of the chemical changes in your body, you could end up with some wierd color instead of what you want...I would just wait....

Is it okie to dye your hair while pregnant?

why would you dye your hair? IT's already bad for your hair, ( and maybe you), so i don,t suggest it to you.

Is it okie to dye your hair while pregnant?

Yes it is safe. The only thing is you need to stay in a well ventilated area. When I find the link on this I will post it.

Question

How safe is it to dye your hair while pregnant? With a store bought kit? I'm 13 weeks. Thanks

Answer

There is no evidence of any detrimental effect of dying your hair during pregnancy, either with a professional job or a store -bought kit. However, since the protein of your hair changes during pregnancy, you may get a different color than you are used to.

Think of how many women over the last 60 years have dyed there hair while pregnant.... I dyed my hair several times. The only thing is to be careful on what color it will turn out to be. If you check out the links below, It explains that our blood stream is cleaned out fairly fast and you dont have to worry about it getting to the baby.

Is it okie to dye your hair while pregnant?

Well, to be honest it's best not to dye your hair during pregnancy. Baby's are very sensitive to anything you do, not to mention what ever chemicals are in your blood stream directly go into the baby's circulatory system. So even if the chemicals are in ur head, even if a little bit is in your blood stream it could affect the baby. You may want to look at hair dye labels and see if you can find a label which states if it is ok to use during prenancy, I am sure most say do not use during prenancy. Also, check with your hair dresser if there is any organic or healthy hair dyes, that may not affect your baby.

Is it okie to dye your hair while pregnant?

yes its fine to dye ur hair while ur pregnant just try to get the ones without the amonia

Is it okie to dye your hair while pregnant?

It is OK- but I warn you- the color will not be what you expected because of your hormone levels. I have real dark hair and always liked to streak it with light highlights, well.... It was very blond where I streaked it. So, be careful.

Is it okie to dye your hair while pregnant?

I read in a book that it is not ok, but you better ask your DR

Is it okie to dye your hair while pregnant?

Though the pregnant belly is the most obvious physical effect a gestating fetus has on it's mother, it's by no means the only one. The changes are evident everywhere - from the palms of the hands (which may temporarily turn a ruddy red) to the inside of the mouth (gums may swell and bleed). The hair is no exception.

Though some extra-prudent practitioners still advise their patients to stay away from hair dyes when they're expecting, studies have not lnked these products to birth defects. Apparently, so little of the chemicals in the dyes is absorbed through the skin, it's not likely that it would leave any adverse effect.

But, while you may not have to worry about the impact on your baby if you continue colouring your hair, you may have to worry about the impact on your appearance. For hormonal reasons, your hair may react differently when you're expecting - leaving you with a colour you may not have expected.
