I had a chinesse straightening relaxer (don't know the name!) done to my hair...but now... HELP

Now the roots are showing... my hair is originally wavy, and a little curly, my problem is that I blow dry it and it looks great but just at the front I have like half an inch before my forehead most of the hair from there to my forehead is like burned or something, and I can't keep it down, I mean, all of my hair looks good BUT that part, you know the front part, is there something I can do, or put on before blow drying it or flat ironing it...

Please help... It is justa little part but It looks horrible... I want my hair to look nice at all times, and I don't know what to do.

Go back to where you got it done and tell them to fix it!

i dont think you were suppose to wash it that quick. you have to wait at leasst 3 days.

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do but go back for another treatment. The beautician should have told you that your new growth will be EXTREMELY noticeable. I would go back and get a touch up. You could just wait till the relaxer gives but who knows how long that will take. It's the same philosophy as dyeing your hair. New growth has to be treated in the same manner.

if u did the asian straightening thing (probably called magic straightener?), then u wern't supposed to get ur hair wet for 3 days...and the straightener usually lasts from 6 months to a year. I had the magic straightener done last year, but now mine's startin to wear off too....... 閵嬬姰鍘?/p>

but anyway, back to ur problem:

for the front hair that looks weird, use a headband--those asian ones where it keeps ur bangs out of ur face and those are pretty too, and they'll mostly hide ur front hair...or tie those bandana things to ur head..........? (duno how to describe....sorry)

Try dumping some duck sauce on it.

try to hide it while you have to give them vitamins regularly until it looks good or just cut your hair

That's just the new growth showing. Go back to the place you had it done and tell them that you need a touch-up. they should be able to do a retouch of the roots.

stop killing your hair!!! doing all kinds of things to your hair is damaging it....maybe grow it out so its natural again and start over.

Querida:

Condition your hair really good after such a procedure, then dry your hair with big rolos under the drier, that will polish the hair shaft, to end up make the "dubbi" or the wrap towards one side of your head to sleep with it. Place a scarf over it to sleep and in the morning let it loose. Your hair will be amazingly georgeous. My hair is extremely curly and every night I do the dubbi with a scarf, nobody knows my hair is freeze. Every morning is smooth and lacio. Good luck, I'm sure it'l look amazing. Ops and do not forget the shining drops.

i can't tell if that section is over processed or under processed because i can't see what it looks like. although it is usually recommend not to shampoo your hair for at least 3 days after any chemical treatment but hair neutralizes in 24 hrs.

Pantene makes a spray on leave in conditioner that is fairly light, so i suggest that you use that before blowdrying, and use a wide tooth comb, using a brush will make it fizzier. once your hair is totally dry then you can use the brush.

and i would also go back to where your hair was done and ask them for their advice. if they stand behind their service they should be more than happy to assist you.

Thats what happens when you straighten your hair with those chemicals. Your either going to have to just deal with it or go to a real salon and they should give you some tips you can use

First you could try to blow dry with a blow dry product like redken satinwear02 with a little silk therapy then use a flat iron protection spray and flatiron that part of your hair at least until it grows out. It sounds like they messed up when applying the straightener. If all else fails you could get a little hair cut.

You can make sure your shampoo and conditioner are made to help straighten your hair for starters, then use a "de-frizzer" but use it sparingly. Make sure you are using a mouse not a gel and then whenever possible let it air dry. I am not sure if you are talking about frizz or that the wave looks frizzy because the rest is straight. But until it grows out it may be your only option, unless you can use the straightening relaxer and only "touch up" the wavy parts.

I have the same problem. What has happened is that the heat from the chemicals and your flat iron have damaged these fine hairs. What I did was get some gel - I put a small bit on my hands and rub if hard along the front. It smooths them down immediately.

sound like it is over processed.

Try drying it with a smooth round brush and applying hair wax to help keep it flat after drying.

My hair is natural wavy. I tried the straightening many times but it turn wavy after 1 months. It is also expensive to do at a salon. What I do is after shower, once my hair is dry after I blow dry it, I used a straightening that straight my hair, but it turns wavy after a shower. I brought it at Salon Beauty Store. It cost around $50. I have been using it for 5 years.

So im a hair stylist and i think i can help.... So the front part of your hair may be burnt. If you dont know what you are doing its easy to damage the hair. If they started in the front it may be the the product was on your hair for to long.

As far as your roots go... Girl i think its time for a touch up. Just maybe not where you had it done the first time lol. When you go to a new hair dresser be honest and tell them what the last person used and be sure to point out any breakage. Hope that helps!
